29 APRIL - SERIES FINALE

PLEASE NOTE AMENDED START TIMES, RACE PROGRAM and CAR PARKING:

40-49 AT 1200; 50-59 and 60+ will be one race -  2 results AT 1345

This is to allow enough time between events for the Series Results to be compiled and for prizes to be issued asap at Race HQ. Pre-entered riders will have been sent the placings list after 3 rounds.

It is the rider's responsibility to ensure that they have the right number - this ensures that we get the right placements in the finish and at Primes. Per Tech Reg 8.5.2 - ............numbers shall not be folded, obscured or mutilated in any way.

If and when a peloton is lapped, the race will finish when the leaders who lapped the peloton finish their last lap, and the peloton finishes at the same time. If there is a group behind the leaders but who have not lapped the peloton they must stay clear of the peloton during their "2 laps to go" if they are to maintain their placing and get "1 lap to go". Failing which that group may be re-absorbed by the peloton and they all will then be on their last lap.

 If the peloton is lapped by a lone rider, at the Commissaires discretion, that rider may be allowed to drift off the back for a solo finish, whilst the peloton takes its last lap. This requires cooperation from the lone rider. On no account is this rider allowed to find a team mate and lead them out in the final sprint. 

Car Parking will be outside the Bowl in Furzton Lake Car Park on Watling Street.

A 4-week series for Masters aged 40 upwards - if they wish women can ride with an age group 10 years older and then compete for overall placings in that age group but not for licence points - contact the organiser directly. Using the Inner Circuit only of the Milton Keynes Bowl. A single race on the circuit at any one time - each 70 minutes.

Remember that for Masters it is the year of birth that counts not the actual date. Thus if you are 40, 50 or 60 anytime between 1 Jan and 31 Dec, then you will be in the 40-49, 50-59 or 60+ age groups accordingly.

Dates: April 1st, 14th (Good Friday), 15th and 29th

Series Points for first 10 in each race for each of the 4 events - 20/18/16/14/12/10/ 8/ 6/ 4/ 2

Plus Series Prime Points 5/3/1 for each Prime

Prizes will be for the series and subject to entries.

Pre-entry closes 1700 on 25 April for this event.

Entry £15; Entry on the day £20 subject to first come first served and not exceeding field limit (40-49 = 60; the rest = 50 each)

BC Licence points for reach race for first 10 (not per 5 year age group). If less than 10 entrants in a race group, only first 3 will count - 3/2/1/ points.

Also, one day licences will be available on the day at £10 for those who have either a Bronze Membership or are not BC members, and £5 for Silver/Gold Membership - this is in addition to entry fee. However, should we become oversubscribed, those with a full licence will have priority. If you require a Day Licence and attempt to pre-enter, you entry will not be fully valid and "Accepted" until the Day Licence has been received by the oganiser (contact him for bank transfer details). 

Sign on for each race will open 75 minutes before each race starts.

Sign On per race will close 15 minutes before each race starts.

Car Parking will be outside the Bowl in Furzton Lake Car Park - almost opposite the Bowl - on your left if heading north along Watling Street, just past The Bowl on your right if heading south with an overpass path to HQ.

HQ will be open from 1030 - please do not arrive before, as there are other users of the MK Bowl. Please be considerate to other users at The Bowl on the day.

 Access to the circuit itself from 1130-1530 only - unless advised otherwise. Warm up elsewhere please.

HQ will be heated and hot showers - however, for those that have not been before, it is fairly basic.  There are enough facilities at HQ and we anticipate having 2 portaloos near the start. So, please, do not use any part of the grounds as a urinal - or risk being DQ'd.

No pre-event start sheets will be issued for these events.
