A "no-nonsense" high quality medium distance early season sportive starting from the beautiful village of Ashover midway between Matlock and Chesterfield. Two routes will be available: 82km/1706m climb and 44km/962m climb offering the very best that the Eastern Peak District can offer in terms of road cycling including Holymoorside, Beeley Moor, Cromford Hill, Wirksworth, Belper and Crich.

Both routes wherever possible stick to quiet country roads and lanes i.e. avoiding busy A roads - in addition expect loads of great scenery and plenty of tough ascents. You can also expect:

• A clearly signed/arrowed route
• A feed-station providing juice, water, gels/bars and fruit
• Colour route map provided including emergency numbers
• SPORTident chip timing for an instant post-event time
• Refreshments at the finish 
• Gold, silver and bronze awards based on your finishing time (separate ladies award times)
• Roadside climb information signs & summit boards

 Registration opens at 7.30am - set off riding at any time between 8.00 and 9.30am.

This event is organised by Dark & White Events (originally established 1996) who also bring you The Matlock Top Ten, The Peak Epic and The Battle of Bradfield (BOB) sportives.
