Event Overview

Ride for the 96 is an annual charity cyclo-sportive bike ride in memory of the 96 Liverpool FC fans who lost their lives in the Hillsborough stadium disaster on 15th April 1989.

The ride takes place on the outskirts of Liverpool and is organised in conjunction with British Cycling.

The ride is open to anyone to enter, and 100% of entrance fees and sponsorship monies go to charity.
 

For the 2017 ride, funds will be split evenly between Alder Hey Childrens charity and Jamie Carraghers 23 Foundation to be allocated to youth projects and charitable causes on Merseyside.
 

10 lucky riders will be selected at random to receive some extremely valuable memorabilia courtesy of Jamie Carraghers 23 Foundation.
 

What are the entrance fees?

  • Earlybird Entry (before midnight 31st Jan 2017): £20
  • Standard Entry: £25
     

All riders will receive a rider pack on the day that contains:

  • Bottle of water
  • Hardcopy route sheet

Additionally downloadable TCX and GPX track files for GPS systems will be made available to all riders
