Event Overview

The Lymestone Cowboy is jointly promoted by Leadout Cycling and Lymestone Brewery and is an end of season social ride to mark the end of the racing season. 

The ride is just a sniff under 40 miles in length and begins & ends at Lymestone Brewery in Stone, Staffordshire. 

Complimentary tea, coffee and bacon sandwiches will be served at the start and riders will be set off in informal groups according to the time they intend to take to cover the distance. 

Rough departure times are:

  • 8-8.30am: 3-4 hours. 
  • 9-9.30am: 2.5-3 hours
  • 9.30am: 2-2.5 hours.  

At the end of the ride the bar at the brewery will be open for riders to enjoy a complimentary pint of Lymestone Cowboy, the beer that gives the ride its name.

About the Event

Info for Riders

On the day of the event, head to Lymestone Brewery in Stone. There is parking for about 200 vehicles on site at the brewery. 

Registration will open at around 7.30. 

The route is not signed and no mechanical support is offered.

A GPX file will be sent to all entrants prior to the event and a basic route card will be given to all starters on the day.
