Ey Up! Welcome to the home of The Yorkshire Corker Sportive

'Gerron yer Bike' for Charity-

The aim of the ride is to RAISE, RIDE AND INSPIRE. 

RAISE money for a variety of charities, Enjoy the RIDE in a non competitive environment taking in North Yorkshires spectacular views and INSPIRE people to get into cycling. The ride is a NON COMPETITIVE sportive, which travels across the stunning North Yorkshire Countryside and is scheduled to take place on Sunday 4th June 2017.

EVENT ENTRY (£50 for both rides) INCLUDES:-

  • Fully Signed Routes 
  • Official Lightweight Event T-Shirt
  • Full Nutrition and Hydration along the route 
  • Organised Rest Stops at Sherriff Hutton, Nunnington, Rosedale, Malton and Kirkham Abbey.
  • Rider Numbers for Jerseys and Bikes
  • Event Photography
  • The Event Headquarters at Hempland, with Start/ Finnish Line
  • Support Vehicles on both rides
  • AND MOST IMPORTANTLY a MASSIVE £25 Donation to this years three charities - York- Young Carers, The Stroke Association and Cancer Research UK.


There are 2 beautiful and hilly routes to choose from, The FULL PINT AND THE HALF PINT.


THE FULL PINT- Route: 110 miles 6215 ft climbing  7.30am START
Includes the 10/10 rated infamous Rosedale Chimney and Wass bank

RAISE

The aim of the ride is to raise as much money as possible for a variety of charities. At least £25 of your entry fee this this year will go to :- 

1) The York Carers Centre -  www.yorkcarerscentre.co.uk

2) The Stroke Association - www.stroke.org.uk

3) Cancer Research UK - www.cancerresearchuk.org,uk

There is no sponsorship required as money is collected through the entry fees. You can are obviously decide to raise money yourself but it's not compulsory.


RIDE 

Sunday 4th June 2017 sees the Inaugral Ride of The Yorkshire Corker Sportive. Starting out from Hempland Primary School in York, Riders will enjoy a beautiful day’s cycling through some of the most stunning landscape North Yorkshire has to offer.

For the Half Pinters amongst you, the Hilly 57.5 Mile Route will test your legs as you conquer the likes of Terrington Bank, Castle Howard and Kirkham Abbey.

And for the Full Pinters.... your in for a treat. This very hilly 110 Mile Route will push you and your bike to the limit as you take on the infamous 10/10 rated Rosedale Chimney Climb and Wass Bank along with many other bumps. 


INSPIRE

The Half Pint Route has been designed to really get people into Cycling, to INSPIRE that 1st achievement. The course is tough that why is called the Yorkshire Corker, but with training and support you can do it! Please encourage people to GERRON THEIR BIKES. Feel free to contact the team or facebook for support or advice.
