Event Summary

Event Overview

Our original ride is back for its fifth year.  This is the first year we have kept the route the same, but with the feedback from last years event we felt the route is one of the best we have created and want to give it another go.

The 72 mile route takes on 6000ft of climbing, including the infamous Greenhow Hill. Heading out from Otley, to Almscliff Cragg, Beckwithshaw, Ripley, onto Masham, before heading back to Pateley Bridge and then up to Appletreewick, Bolton Bridge and returning to Otley.

Our medium route takes on 3500ft of climbing, heading out on the same route to Ripley, before heading over to Sawley, until getting to Greenhow Village before coming back to Appletreewick, Bolton Bridge and returning to Otley.

Upon finishing the Otliensians Rugby Club will be hosting where riders can finish the ride with Tea, Coffee, BBQ and Cake which are all included in the price.  (Donations to the Rugby Club are very welcome). The bar will also be open for those who wish to finish their ride with an alternative refreshment.

On the day (weather dependent) a childs fun spin will happen around the two rugby pitches.  This is to encourage young people on their bike and to give them a sense of riding with others around a course.

This year we will be timing the event.  Timing chips are included in the price and will be part of our event offering.
