Event Overview

This event is intended to be a sociable family and community event for participants of all ages and abilities, with the objective of celebrating cycling and putting the church at the heart of the community. It is not a competitive event. The route of Gallogate Lane (Weeton, Nr Leeds) is a very quiet rural country lane, which loops around on itself. Riders will have the option of completing as many laps as they choose, at their own pace, and will receive a certificate of achievement.

Info for Riders

It is COMPULSORY to wear a helmet. Observe the rules of the Highway Code. Obey all instructions given by the Police or the Route Marshals. Keep over to the nearside of 
the road. Remember that while we have chosen the route to be as safe as possible, there are 
places where you will be turning onto a main road. This route is a country lane and there are potholes & loose gravel along both sides of the lane. Riders under 16 years of age may only ride under the strict supervision of an adult who takes full responsibility for them. Responsible adults must only allow their children to ride if they are satisfied that the child is capable of riding safely on a public road within close proximity to other cyclists and traffic. Ensure that your bike, and the bikes of children under your supervision, are roadworthy before the day If possible, please ensure that you, or one of your party, carry a mobile phone. Parking & refreshments available. £2 entry per bike on the day
