Event Summary

Event Overview

Now in its 11th consecutive year, the Hampshire Hilly Hundred is one of the senior UK cyclosportives. It remains independent - an event organised by cyclists for cyclists, pure and simple. There is the challenging HHH SuperMax route (approx 100 miles), and the still testing HHH Midi (approx 76 miles). The well signed and equally well thought-out course follows roads with amazingly little traffic and leads riders through some superb Hampshire countryside that is at its very best in early May.

About the Event

Info for Riders

As you'd expect from its name, there are plenty of hills in the HHH but it's not relentless. There are stretches where you can roll a bigger gear, and there aren't any "cliff-face" climbs, though you will need your lowest gears on some. o walk the steepest section of Butser Hill when it was introduced in 2013. The HHH is certainly capable of catching out those who underestimate it, with more total metres of ascent (and descent) than most UK sportives. Training is definitely required for this one! We are delighted to be based once more at Sparsholt College, near Winchester, with its excellent facilities, including on-site parking close to the Start/Finish, hot refreshments, lounge area, and shower facilities. We provide Third Party event insurance, mobile medics, full route signage, printed route cards, sheltered feed stations, disposable chips and mat timing, mechanical assistance, on-course photographer, and much more.
