Event Summary

Event Overview

Following on from the success of the 2015 Sportive the 2016 Cherwell 100mile & 65 mile Sportives are back and with new improved routes.

The routes roll through the picturesque villages of Oxfordshire , Northamptonshire and Warwickshire on quiet country roads with challenging short hills, a couple of killer hills on the 100miler  , rolling countryside and great views.

The 100 mile route commences in Bicester and takes in the famous Stowe School and Silverstone F1 track in the early stages before passing through the villages around Brackley and heading out to Banbury via the infamous Edge Hill and up and down Avon Dassett , before heading back to Bicester.

The 65 mile route is a challenging route ideal for those wanting a test but without those killer hills. The course is quiet undulating and follows large sections of the 100mile route passing through the scenic villages heading to Banbury before returning to Bicester.

There are numerous well stocked feed stations along the way all with toilet facilities and plenty of drinks and home made snacks.
