SUMMIT 65  Offroad Sportive

Established four years ago, the Summit 65  is among the best loved off-road sportives in the south of England. Once again the Summit 65 will be part of the Chiltern Cycling Festival and riders will be able to enjoy a fantastic day of events following their ride in the gorgeous grounds of Penn House, Amersham. in the heart of the Chiltern Hills and will include the famous fast single-track of the Summit MTB race course at Lotts Wood. With fully signed and supported routes, feed zones (lotts wood and Wendover woods) and chip timing its a must whatever the level of off road fun you are looking for. 75% off road, Route map and GPX file

The main route will be 65km with a shorter 30km option and is suitable for mountain bikes or cyclo cross bikes looking for some exciting & adventurous riding. The 65km  is a challenging endurance event aimed at experienced off road riders, whilst the 30km option is geared for social riders and those under 16 riding with a parent/guardian. 

The Festival also hosts the competitive Penn House Hill Climb within the grounds so if you want to have a go on your MTB after completing the Summit 65 make sure you enter using the links below.

SUMMIT MTB Go Ride events for Children

A fantastic off-road multiple race event for young riders (aged 6 -16) at Penn House run by qualified British Cycling coaches in a safe, controlled and supportive environment. They’ll be a fun obstacle course time trial, short-course race and hill climb with prizes for the fastest boy and girl in each age category. There is no online entry for this children’s event as parents and children can come along and register on the day. All young riders should be using a mountain bike or a hybrid in good working order, fitted with gears and treaded tyres.
