Rumble on the Humber

A Battle on roads of East Yorkshire and North Lincolnshire

This is the first running of this sportive with ride options of 2 distance, the first, A battle on both sides which covers a distance of129km/80 miles and the shorter route, A battle on the north side which is 73km/45 miles with plenty of climbing involved on both routes

At our event you can expect:

  • A clearly signed/arrowed route
  • Starting line gifts
  • Feed stations providing juice, water, and fruit
  • GPX route maps
  • Emergency numbers
  • Chip timing for an instant post-event time
  • Changing rooms with hot showers
  • Refreshments at the finish 
  • Gold, silver and bronze finishing time. Separate women award times
  • Event T-Shirt

Registration opens at 7.30am - set off riding at any time between 8.00 and 9.30am.

 

The routes

A battle on both sides:

Shortly after starting you will be heading out into the country on roads heading towards North Newbald before turning and heading towards the village of North Ferriby for the feed station before heading over the Humber Bridge into Lincolnshire, tackling the climbs along the edge of the Wolds before heading back over the bridge via Barton to complete the finishing loop around Broomfleet.

A battle on the north side:

Follows the long route with a route split at the feed station in the village of North Ferriby, the route continues back into Elloughton before heading out on a loop out to Broomfleet before heading back to Brantingham via North and South Cave.
