About the Event

Info for Riders

Please do not treat your entry lightly, remember to respect the challenge. The 3 Pistes Cycle Sportive route is a difficult ride and requires high level of fitness. It takes in the major climbs of the Grampian Mountains and that means steep and technical descents as well. The course has good signage but you should be aware of the route and terrain. Make sure you have adequate clothing and your equipment is in perfect order, a bottom gear of 39 x 25-28 minimum is recommended. We will have mobile mechanics and marshals, as well as static mechanics at the ski centres. However punctures are your responsibility. Please be prepared for multiple punctures on such a ride. Safety is our priority and so tri-bars are not permitted and approved cycle helmets are compulsory. If you purchase Sportive Only Entry, but subsequently require coach transfer there will be an additional administration charge of £10.00 plus the price difference between original fee paid and Sportive plus Coach fee at time of request.
