Event Summary

Event Overview

The first Syston Sportive starts and finishes at Syston Methodist Church on the High Street in Syston. The ride is to raise money for the Youth Cafe and Community Hub where refreshments will be available before the ride and a cream tea afterwards.

We will provide secure indoor bike parking before and after the ride.
Free drinks: Coffee, Tea (10 types), Hot Chocolate, various soft drinks.

There are 3 stops on the ride at the Methodist Churches in Hoby, Long Clawson and Barrow-on-Soar. Tea/Coffee/Squash plus flapjack and bananas at them all. Also sandwiches at Long Clawson.

The route will be signed and route sheets will also be given at the start.

We will provide laminated bike numbers and rider cards with the same number to control bike access at all the checkpoints.

We have a car with bike carrier that will follow some way behind the last rider able to pick up riders with mechanical/physical problems.
