Event Summary

Event Overview

Eight claws of the Howler

Kop Hill, Wiggins Lane, Smalldean Lane, Hampden Hill, Frith Hill, Red Lion Hill, Dunsmore Lane, Longdown Hill – got the picture?

The Howler’s short route may only be just over 3,000ft of ascent, but it’s sharp ‘claws’ just keep coming for you.

It’s a real challenge but not just about the hills. As always both routes lead riders in a figure of eight giving the choice to either return back to the start at the 50 mile point or carry on.

It’s a format that continues to works well where both the long and short routes split near the start/finish so you could choose press on with the extra 30 miles (stretching session) or duck out if you’ve had enough.
