Bedford’s Closed Road Cycle Event - Sunday 19th June 2016

A closed road event, that starts in the iconic Bedford Park and winds past the town's beautiful riverside setting and into the wonderful Bedfordshire countryside, before finishing up back in Bedford Park 80 Kilometres later

With the help of our Elected Mayor of Bedford Dave Hodgsonwe have created a unique closed road event which begins and ends in the historic market town of Bedford.

Starting in Bedford Park, the route passes the imposing tree-lined villas of De Parys Avenue before turning along Bedford’s famed embankment and climbing Cleat Hill into the undulating countryside and villages of North Bedfordshire.

If there is any misapprehension that our beautiful county is lacking in contours these will soon disappear as you traverse the characterful North Bedfordshire villages of Ravensden, Renhold, Wilden, Colmworth, Swineshead, Riseley, Keysoe and Thurleigh before returning to Bedford Park.
