Lancashire Loop Cycle Challenge

Cycle Sportive , Lancashire – Sunday, 11 Oct 2015

Event Summary

Event Overview

The Lancashire Loop Cycle Challenge has something to suit everyone.

Whether you are a novice cyclist and looking for a new challenge, or someone who can easily notch up 50+ miles just for fun, you are perfect for this fundraising event!

All routes are fully signed and on road and you will be supported by a team of back markers, minibuses, a medic and a bike mechanic should you encounter any problems.  Refreshments are also available on the route as well as at the registration HQ.  Two circular routes are on offer, taking you on a beautiful journey through the picturesque Ribble Valley, Bowland Fells and Lune Valley.

The 18 mile route is suitable for families, and stays on the mainly flat area of Cockerham Sands. The 50 mile route hits you with a few hills to start off with but, once you're past the 30 mile point, it becomes a lot flatter and each year we have many inexperienced cyclists successfully complete the circuit.

18 mile route:     Registration is a non-refundable/ transferable £20 per person (under 12’s FREE)

50 mile route:     Registration is a non-refundable/ transferable £30 per person

For all routes we ask you to raise as much as you can.

MedEquip4Kids is a children’s charity which raises much needed funds for NHS Trusts, schools, clinics and community groups who require specialist medical equipment for the children in their care. In 2014 the charity’s projects directly benefited 128,000 children across the UK and since the charity was founded in 1985 we have raised over £20 million to directly help sick children. In 2014, we launched a new national project working with Child and Adolescent Mental Health teams to supply resources and therapy items to help children with a range of conditions including autism, ADHD, eating disorders, depression and self harm. For more information about our current projects visit our website, www.medequip4kids.org.uk.
