Event Overview

The Leicester Castle Classic Sportive takes place on Saturday15th August and is followed on Sunday 16th by the Leicester Castle Classic, part of British Cycling's Elite Men's National Grand Prix series.  

Riders are offered 3 options, 50km, 100km and 160km, all courses feature the undulating Leicestershire countryside and will include the famous Bosworth Battle field where Richard III fought and lost his crown. 

Riders will be treated to tea and coffee before setting off, a feed station, courtesy of The Black Horse, Market Bosworth and tea and homemade cake upon finishing. A limited edition Leicester Castle Classic Buff and a voucher for a  'Pint and Pie' which can be redeemed during the Leicester Castle Classic the following day.

The Leicester Castle Classic Sportive takes place on Saturday15th August and is followed on Sunday 16th by the Leicester Castle Classic Elite Men's road race, part of British Cycling's National Grand Prix series. The event is delivered with the support of the Leicester Women's Velo and the Leicester Forest Cycling Club. There are three distances, 60km, 100km and 150km, all including the famous Bosworth Battle field where Richard III fought and lost his crown. Entry fee for each ride includes, tea and coffee before setting off, feed station and Tea & Cake on the day and a voucher for a Pie & Pint redeemable on 16th during the Leicester Castle Classic and each participant will receive a limited edition Leicester Castle Classic buff.
