Event Summary

Event Overview

One for the ladies, we have two routes planned in the lovely Vale of Belvoir and along the Belvoir Ridge.  It promises to be a fun and friendly day out. There are two distances - standard 24 mile route and challenger 50 miles.

Give yourself something to aim for in the Summer of 2015 and sign up with a few friends or family or come and meet other like-minded women and enjoy a ride through the countryside in an area that is fast becoming a favourite for cyclists.

Starting and finishing at the village hall in Hose, the routes will be well signposted, avoiding any busy roads. This is a sportive, or a personal challenge cycle ride.  It is not a race and there will be no timing chips.  You are obviously more than welcome to record your efforts on your phone and or GPS device.

And now for the cake bit…yes there will be some yummy homemade cakes on offer, some naughtier than others – but we reckon you will have deserved it.

About the Event

Info for Riders

The 24 mile route is a great loop around Belvoir Castle, taking in quiet country lanes and pretty villages. The route is undulating with nearly 1200ft (355m) of climbing overall. We get the biggest climb over with towards the start of the race. The 50 Mile route is more challenging and offers 2,300ft (700m) of climbing, up the ridge 3 times to get your heart pumping. For both routes there will be lots of yummy cake and we promise a great fun day out.
