Following on from the success of The Great Gorilla Ride in 2013 & 2014 is an exciting new event exclusively for women. The Great Girl-Rilla Ride is a cycle sportive aimed at all abilities, a fun and friendly event where the whole experience is as important as the ride itself.

Hot Food and Glass of Sparkling on Return

100km Route: Pre-registered £26

50km Route: Pre-registered £21


IMPORTANT CHANGE TO ENTRY RULES:

Due to the nature of this event and the pre-planning involved, we have had to make the decision NOT to accept any ON THE DAY entries. All entries to the Great Girl-Rilla Ride must be pre-registered by WEDNESDAY 24th JUNE. This will allow us to ensure that all riders taking part will have the best possible experience on the day, and most importantly, there's enough bubbles at the end!

Start Times

Riders are set off in staggered groups from 8am, all riders on the road by 9am.

 

Safety Information:

All riders under 18 must have a parent/guardian with them on the day and a parental/guardian consent form must be signed at the registration desk.

Minimum age for participants is 16 years.

This is a non-competitive event and all riders must adhere to the safety guidelines.

The Eve Appeal is the only UK charity dedicated to all five gynaecological cancers and was set up alongside the Department of Women’s Cancers UCL to fund life saving research. Since 2002 they have been at the forefront of research and innovation in gynaecological cancers.

Following on from the success of our annual sportive, The Great Gorilla Ride, we are planning a brand new cycling event for June 2015 and it's exclusively for women. The Great Girl-Rilla Ride is a cycle sportive featuring two fully signed routes of 50km & 100km. Both routes offer a challenging but achievable ride for all abilities, even if you haven’t ridden a bike in years! Ladies, if you're up for a challenge then this could be just what you're looking for. The Great Girl-Rilla Ride will also be supporting an amazing women’s charity, The Eve Appeal.
