Event Overview

The 5th running of our annual two day challenge to cycle the 144 miles of the Sustrans circular Yorkshire Wolds Cycle Route, along the beautiful country lanes of the Yorkshire Wolds.

Starting and finishing at Norton College, near Malton, the event covers 72 miles each day, with an overnight camp, complete with fabulous barbecue, Wold Top real ale, and live music.

Entry includes secure parking at Norton College, luggage/tent transfer to the halfway camp and back, organised refreshment points, "guardian angel" support cyclists and maintenance support vehicle, first-aid back-up, Saturday barbecue and Sunday breakfast, secure bike park at halfway, completion certificate and souvenir mug!

Entry fee is only £40.00 plus a commitment to raise a further minimum £60.00 in sponsorship (or just pay it yourself - at £100.00 in total it's fantastic value for this type of event!)

All money received will help us continue to provide care and support for over 450 families whose children have disabilities or special needs, throughour Ryedale.

A 2 day challenge to cycle the stunningly beautiful, 144 mile Yorkshire Wolds Cycle Route, complete with overnight camp! (There's a B&B down the road for those who detest camping!) 2015 will the 5th running of our superb two day event along the beautiful country lanes of the Yorkshire Wolds. It's not a race, more of a social and extremely enjoyable couple of days cycling in a beautiful part of undiscovered Yorkshire! And at the same time, help raise funds for local charity, Ryedale Special Families Full support is provided, so it's also ideal for anyone who hasn't cycled such distances before. The route is fully signed as it's part of the National Cycle Network, but it's advisable to buy a cope of the official Yorkshire Wolds Cycle Route map just to be on the safe side! We have many riders returning each year as they've enjoyed the atmosphere and organisation of a successful event, which last year attracted 168 entries.
