Event Overview

The ride takes place on Saturday 19th July along the route of Stage 1 of Le Tour De France, and aims to raise funds for charitable causes. The team has nominated three charities: Kidz Klub Leeds,Transformations Leeds and Leeds Faith in Schools. You can also nominate your own charity for whom you wish to raise money.

Entry for this ride is set at £30 but please be aware we ask you to commit to raising sponsorship money. We recommend that you aim to raise £250 each. If you are not keen on getting sponsors we ask that you make a donation. Ultimately we are trying to raise money for charity by running this event.

About the Event

Info for Riders

We have three routes on Le Grand Ride Out which help cater for all abilities. Two routes start from central Leeds, a shorter route starts from Skipton and follow the majority of the route of Stage 1 of the Le Grand Depart, finishing in Harrogate. There are some changes which have been made by the organising team to avoid busy roads. The Full route is 120 miles, the Medium is 90 miles, the short is approx 70 miles. We will have checkpoints and food stops including home baked cakes and plenty of drinks around the route. A full entry pack will be e-mailed to you closer to the event. Entry for this ride is £30 but please be aware we ask you to commit to raising sponsorship money. We recommend that you aim to raise £250. If you are not keen on getting sponsors we ask that you make a donation. Ultimately we are trying to raise money for charity by running this event.
