Midland League 1 Leicester Monarchs v Wednesfield Dragons. Saturday 29th March 2014.

What a cracking match this looked to be. Dragons feeling strong and up for the challenge chasing the first and illusive win.

Leicester win the toss and opt for the outside grids. Heat on and Holdcroft looks strong out the tapes and takes the lead only to be passed by Kev Burns brining Mark Whitehead round with him resulting in a 7-3 to the home team. Deadlock followed for 3 heats and 11 our of the 18 heats were evenly split.

Either side of the interval the visiting Dragons take 4-6  going into heat 11 the advantage reduced to just 2 points.

Heat 13 Venson puts a terrific dive in on Holdcroft bringing Liam Wood through for a 7-3, but the Dragons hit straight in heat 14 with Mark Griffiths and Mick Aris taking 3-7.

Heat 14 the home side extended their small lead with a 6-4 and run the reaming heats with intelligence sharing the points.
