The Little Devil
One route of 60k
The event will be based from Llanwrtyd Wells (LD5 4RG). The route will be 60k long. Being mid-winter, make sure you are dressed appropriately and are prepared for some tough conditions.
Llanwrtyd Wells is set in a superb area for mountain biking, offering everything from gorgeous single track, long flowing downhills, root infested technical tracks, bedrock - everything a good mountain bike route should have. We will be using the Crychan and Irfon forests, set in the wild and beautiful Cambrian mountains. The route steps up the technical challenges – expect tough, technical downhills and single tracks. All our event routes this year have been designed by Red Kite Events’ Neil (ex national downhiller and trials rider) so expect to be challenged, his XC courses certainly challenge the XC racers through the rest of winter.
We believe we have the best feed stations on any event in the UK. These will be supplied as always The Drovers Rest restaurant in Llanwrtyd Wells – expect delicious home-made cake, flapjack, welsh cakes, and savoury options. The event is not a race and the feed stations are a big part of the event experience. Our sponsor, Muc-Off, will also be providing wash/lube stations at the feed station and start/finish area. The feed station will be at approximately the halfway point.
At the finish we will have a pasta meal waiting for you in the HQ.
