The second Howgill Horror organised by The Sedbergh Society taking place on 8th June 2014 offering 3 optional routes - 50, 30 or 18 miles. There will be an entry fee of £25. This is a charity event in aid of the Roger Lupton Scholarships providing full scholarships for pupils for 5 years at Sedbergh School. All riders that raise a minimum of £100 sponsorship will receive a free Howgill Horror cycling jersey.

About the Event

Info for Riders

This is a fundraising event for the benefit of the Roger Lupton Scholarship Appeal, and fundraising has been set up through Just Giving. There is a choice of 3 routes: A challenging 50 mile round trip taking riders down Garsdale across stunning open moorland towards Kirkby Stephen then to Ravenstonedale before sweeping away through Newbiggin-on-Lune towards Orton and the return to Sedbergh. A shorter 30 mile ride following the same route as the Howgill Horror as far as Ravenstonedale but returning from there to Sedbergh along the valley taking in the stunning sight of Cautley Spout on the way. A moderate but hilly 18 mile ride through Dent along to Cowgill, coming back along the other side of the river to Dent and then back to Sedbergh.
