Event Overview

On the 27th of April Ride to the Hills will be running their inaugural Chilterns Sportive and we would like to invite you to join us. The event consists of two fully signed routes covering 100km or 60km through some of the best countryside and rolling hills that Britain has to offer. Both routes lead you to some challenging climbs up and over Dunstable Downs before heading home for a well-earned tea and piece of cake!

The event will start and finish at Vandyke Upper School with covered rider registration and post ride refreshments as well as offering secure cycle storage and on site parking available throughout the day.

As well as fully signed routes, GPX files will be provided along with individual event timings with live results available on the day. There will also be a manned feed station on both routes providing a restock of food and drink. Nutritional support will be provided by High5 with energy drinks and gels on offer.

We hope you can join us and look forward to seeing you out on the road. For any inquries please feel free to contact us on info@ridetothehills.co.uk

The Ride to the Hills brand started in 2012 with an ambitious plan to organise a charity event to take 10 riders over 1000km from Loughborough in the Midlands to Lochinver in the north west of Scotland in just 7 days.

The route took in some of the hilliest parts of the country including the Peak District, The Yorkshire Dales, and the Highlands of Scotland sticking to the principles laid down by the founding members to constantly search for challenges on the bike.

The event was a great success over coming illness and mechanicals to deliver everyone to the finish line within the 7 day limit raising over £4,000 in the process. Taking this forward we hope to be able to bring challenging and enjoyable riding to a wider audience.
