There are two VCLE Reliability Rides on Sunday 2nd February 2014.

This is the second year for the well received and new 70 mile (112k) Reliability ride from Sawley through Willington, Hatton, Ashbourne, Cromford, Holbrook, Morley and back to Sawley.  With around 4000ft (1200mtrs) of climbing the route includes the classic climbs out of Ashbourne, Longcliffe to decend the 'via Gellia' to Cromford to return along the Derwent Vally before the testing return climbs to Holbrook and Sandy Lane to Morley Smithy.

The shorter (and flatter) ride is 39 miles (61k) and follows the long route to Hatton where it turns toward Tutbury through Rolleston, Stretton returning to Willington where it retraces the route back to Sawley.

Both VCLE Reliability Rides start and finish in Warren Lane Sawley, adjacent to Sawley Marina and the Plank and Leggit pub. NG10 3JT Entry Fees are £5 and includes the BC levy. Start times: For the 70 mile Reliability Ride first riders will be set off from 09.30 For the 39 mile Reliability Ride first riders will be set off from 10.00 Detailed route sheets are available for both Reliability Rides on the VCLE website http://www.vclongeaton.com/ and will be available on the day when signing on. Under 18s are required to provide completed Parental Permission forms. Under 16's must be accompanied. Certificates are awarded to all finishers. NOTE: This is a Reliability Ride, the route is not way marked and will not be marshaled, riders are responsible for their successful negotiation of the route.
