Event Overview

Join us on Saturday 7th June 2014 to cycle all 91 km/ 56 miles from city to coast in CARE’s London to Brighton bike ride. Help us to raise funds for the world's poorest people.


You will cycle out of Kingston and past the historic Hampton Court Palace. The route then winds through the Surrey countryside, undulates through the North Downs and into National Trust protected area. After a picnic lunch provided en-route, you cycle through the country lanes of Sussex, deep into the beautiful Leonard’s Forest.


Following the final refreshment stop, you will complete the last leg of the cycle ride over the South Downs and up the renowned Devil’s ****, which provides stunning views of the South Downs and Brighton.

The scenic route winds through idyllic country roads, avoiding main roads where possible and will be clearly arrowed. Marshals will be situated at key locations as well as guides cycling with you to ensure your safety throughout the day.

On our London to Brighton Cycle challenge you will receive:

  • Marked route & directions
  • Marshals on route
  • Medics and support staff
  • 2 refreshment stops (refreshments will be provided at the first stop and lunch will be provided at the second stop)
  • Celebration drink at the finish line

Event registration £20 with the minimum fundraising for participation £100 per participant. We will be on hand to support you at every stage of the challenge, from fundraising to training and completing the bike ride.

The route winds from Kingston to the Surrey countryside, through the scenic North Downs and into National Trust protected area.
