Event Summary

Event Overview

We are so pleased to announce that after an incredible response to the inaugural Tour de Test Valley, the event is back for 2014. With over 600 riders hitting the stunning roads of the Test Valley we were so thankful for all the support and great feedback.

Running on a slightly later date of Sat 20th September, we hope to promise you another great day on the bike.

Don't take our word for it, here's a couple of testimonials;

DAVID ELSE, CYCLING WEEKLY JOURNALIST, ” I have to say yesterday’s ride was one of the best sportives I’ve ever done. From the festival vibe on the field at 7am, via the beautiful route, friendly feed-stations, top-notch signing and en route camaraderie, to the genuinely welcoming atmosphere at the finish, I really couldn’t fault it. A massive well done to all the organisers, helpers and everyone else on the team behind the scenes. ”

MARK BAINBRIDGE, “I just wanted to say thank you for organising what was the most enjoyable Sportive I’ve taken part in. I did the 160k route with a couple of friends and we found it a challenging course on quiet roads in spectacular countryside . The organisation was great, you provided top quality food during and after the event and there was a lovely relaxed atmosphere on the day – and all for a very good cause for which you undoubtedly raised awareness and hopefully some significant money.

Event Details:

In loving memory of local Hampshire resident, pro-snowboarder and keen cyclist, Nelson Pratt, who died in June 2012, we put together a superb new sportive with three fantastic routes in the stunning Test Valley. The routes take in Nelson's favourite training rides where he spent many a happy hour on his beloved 'Treader.'

Our aim is to put on an extremely high quality event, offering something for every level of cyclist, giving you the best possible day in the saddle. Facilities for riders is paramount to us, with years of riding sportives ourselves there is nothing we haven't thought of.

The three routes are all on quiet roads allowing you to enjoy the spectacular scenery, will be impeccably signed and offer well stocked feed stations.

The queen stage of Nelson's Tour, the 100 mile route offers a tough test, taking in the areas best climbs, fast descents, spectacular views and only the finest roads.

This was Nelson's first ever 100 mile cycle and remained his favourite ever ride.

We really look forward to seeing you in the Test Valley!
