Trans Cambrian Cross Sportive

Cycle Sportive , Powys – Sunday, 31 Aug 2014

Registered Sportive
Supported by Welsh Cycling

Event Summary

Event Overview

The 2014 Trans Cambrian is a special edition. We are taking advantage of all the wonderful possibilities in this part of the world to include a few fairly non technical offroad sections, creating a more interesting route and avoiding main roads. We will be offering 3 different distances: long, medium and short, and road options for those who want a 100% tarmac ride. All routes will be unbelievably scenic, and will, of course, include some challenging climbs.

About the Event

Info for Riders

The offroad sections will be of a relatively non technical nature, but bear in mind that weather can change ground conditions quite dramatically in a very short space of time. Stone tracks demand that a wide tyre be used to avoid punctures and rim damage. We recommend a minimum tyre width of 35mm on a cyclo cross bike, mountain bike,or road bike with adequate clearance.
