British Cycling supports cyclists of all disabilities, from grassroot clubs with our Limitless programme, to winning gold medals with our Great Britain Cycling Team.

People with physical, sensory, intellectual impairments, hidden disabilities and medical conditions can all take part in cycling - and we want to make sure cycling is accessible for all.

Click the tabs to find further information about our opportunities available for para-cyclists, as well as further information on the para-cycling discipline and classifications.

At British Cycling, we support grassroot clubs and introductions to para-cycling with our Limitless programme, with the opportunity to progress onto our Great Britain Cycling Team with our performance pathway. We also host our National Disability and Para-cycling Series on the road for circuit races and time-trial events, with six rounds as part of our 2024 series.

Limitless programme

British Cycling’s inclusive club programme, Limitless, provides cycling opportunities for disabled people, regardless of age, impairment and ability.

Supported by Shell UK, we have created a network of inclusive clubs across the country, where disabled people can take part in cycling opportunities.

We are working with many clubs up and down the UK to break down barriers, inspire change and create more opportunities for disabled people.

Whether you wish to try cycling for the first time, or you are an an experienced rider looking to take your cycling to the next level our network of Limitless Clubs will have an opportunity for you.

Para-cycling Performance Pathway

For riders with ambitions of competing at an elite level, we have a dedicated para-cycling performance pathway.

The Paralympic Talent Development programme is the bridge between open disability cycling and the Great Britain Cycling Team. It has been created to find the 2028 and 2032 Paralympic Cycling Champions and aims to cultivate an inclusive and diverse training environment that maximises opportunities for talented athletes to progress.
