Whilst most of us were thinking about summer holidays the Wessex League were making plans for the coming Cyclo-cross season. Following another hugely successful season last year the league fixture list for this season is almost complete.
The season starts in Cowley near Oxford on 15th September and finishes on Boxing Day at Southampton (at the moment). The league sees riders visit all the popular venues and a couple of new ones this season, and a couple of new events to be confirmed. This should take the number of events to twelve.
This coming season sees the North Hants Road Club hosting the South of England championships on the 9th December and the War Memorial Park in Basingstoke for the first time.
Once again Southampton has been selected to host a round of the Cyclo-Cross National Trophy on the 18th November and the League has promised to put on another professionally run event following on from last season's success.
