The Central Region are running a training day for Cyclo-Cross organisers and volunteers, riders and coaches with Mick Bell, Cyclo-Cross Coach and 2012 Vets National Champion.

Date: Sunday September 9th 9:30am for 10:00 workshop start. Finish and away by 3:30
Venue: Icknield High School
Catering: Tea and coffee provided, bring your own lunch

Race Organiser/Volunteer Workshop

RECOMENDED FOR - all race organisers, course setters and volunteers who want to improve their skills in a low stress training environment. An opportunity to share experiences and build on the high standard achieved in the League. In the morning Organisers will get to review issues such as

 - Equipment provision – sharing, transporting, set up
 - How to make race day go smoothly – registration, event running order, gridding, prize structures, presentations, employing a professional organizing team etc
 - Race timing and results discussion and debate

Followed by

Course design – a workshop in best practice and the chance to have a go at building a course to test your new ideas in a safe environment

Volunteers (new and existing) will have their own workshop, focusing on skill sets. Enabling you to run your events with improved confidence on race day. This will be followed by an opportunity to have a go with a live event, held in the afternoon with entrants from Icknield School Club and other riders.

Riders & Coaching Workshop

Riders are invited to attend a Master Coaching Class with Mick Bell, Cyclo-Cross Coach and 2012 Vets National Champion. Open to all Cyclo-Cross riders from Beginner to Elite. It includes learning specific skills, strategies, programming your training, CPD for Coaches

Riders and Coaches from other Regions welcome.
