The of the , Wednesday 11 July 2012, at Brooksbank School, Elland, has been cancelled.
The playing fields and surrounding grasslands are completely waterlogged and with no prospect of improvement before the event, a joint decision has been made in conjunction with the school’s ground-staff to cancel the event and avoid damage and potentially losing future use of the venue.
Following the loss of round 6, the series will now be decided based on a rider’s best six scores from eight events. Ties will be decided based on the better performance at the final round.
Looking further ahead, the end of series prize evening will be Friday 31 August. The venue will be Elland Cricket Club, home of series sponsors, Pedalsport. The night will cost £10 per head and will include pie and peas supper and an exciting “casino evening”, compared as usual by the penguin-suited duo, Fred Rothwell and Andy Whitworth.
