Kudu Cross League Round 4 - Demesnes, Barnard Castle

Posted: 19th November 2009 | Event: 22nd November 2009

An end to canine foul play heralds the return of Demesnes 'cross

Round 4 of the Kudu Cross League takes place on Sunday 22nd November at the Demesnes, Barnard Castle, Co Durham.

Following a lot of rain and more forecast to fall the terrain will be muddy, and combined with the banked area will be a challenge. The Demesnes have been used in the past but had issues with dog fouling, this has now been resolved and Teesdale CRC are pleased to revive the event and bring Cyclo-cross back to Barnard Castle.

The re-launched Cyclo-cross North East League is enjoying success with numbers of participants up on previous years. The first three rounds have seen wins by Paul Oldham, and Stuart Wearmouth. This Sunday sees Paul Oldham return to the North East to battle with Stuart Wearmouth and Steve Ward and the muddy conditions may bring out the best in Keith Murray.
