The regional performance pathway in conjunction with Go-Ride is pleased to announce the new Club Clusters of Training (CCT) will begin this autumn for Youth A and B riders at venues across the country.

CCTs are aimed at racers aged 12 to 16 years old and are a safe and effective way for young riders to develop their skills. These sessions will enable A and B riders to learn how to train physically in a skill environment.

The CCT sessions will run for approximately 20 weeks between October 2014 and March 2015 with the aim of bridging the gap from club activity to the Regional Schools of Racing programme. The sessions are club led with support from British Cycling’s Regional Performance Pathway and Go-Ride coaches.

The locations, disciplines and contacts for the CCT sessions can be downloaded here.

Youth A and B riders who are planning on attending the CCT sessions should bring:

  • Roadworthy bike fitted with mudguards where necessary
  • Appropriate clothing for the weather conditions (sessions will only be cancelled if there is ice or snow)
  • Pump and spare inner tube
  • Drinks and healthy snacks
  • Lights if the venue isn’t floodlit

Please note: Sessions will be physically challenging.
