New E-zine For Youth & Under-12 Members

Tuesday 8 March 2011

This week sees the launch of the first edition of The Hub - a new and exclusive online e-zine for young British Cycling members.

Issue Zero comes fresh off the back of the UCI Track World Cup, complete with news, reviews and interviews from a successful weekend of racing in Manchester: Geraint Thomas outlines what life is like as a pro rider with Team Sky and Great Britain, while Lizzie Armitstead explains how she got into the sport of cycling at a fairly late age.

There is also a preview of the upcoming Para-cycling Track World Championships in Italy and Paracyclist Jon-Allan Butterworth details his journey from being solider in Iraq to track cycling star.

Issue Zero is available to all British Cycling members, but future editions will be exclusive to Youth or Under 12 members. New and renewing members in these age a groups will receive a starter pack in addition to the existing legal and money saving offers. This is new for 2011 and aims to reflect our desire to support all cyclists, from Olympic champions to younger riders just beginning their cycling lives.

The new e-zine, The Hub, is a central part of a new membership package and hopes to provide younger members with a unique platform with which to hear about, read about and write about Great Britain's star riders.

The next issue (coming out in May) will feature reviews and interviews geared towards the UCI Mountain Bike World Cup coming up at Yorkshire's Dalby Forest 20-22 May.

If you are a Youth or Under 12 member, but do not receive emails from British Cycling, please contact the membership team (membership@britishcycling.org.uk) to ensure you receive future editions.
