Stockport hosted round 5 of the Manchester League Grand Prix series on Wednesday evening. Heavy rain during the day left the track raceable, but slippery in places, including the starting grids, which made for some eventful races.

In the U10s match, A & T's Max Evans raced to his fifth consecutive maximum score in this series and clinched the U10 Grand Prix Individual title. Bury's James Elston raced unbeaten in the U-13s match. His team mate, Adam Watson, was taken to hospital, after suffering a nasty gash to his head, when catching the outer kerb on the home straight and subsequently losing control, in his last ride.

Stockport's Jake Read raced to his fifth consecutive maximum score in this series and clinched the U16 Grand Prix Individual title. Stockport's Mat Lush top scored in the U19 match, losing only to twin brother Jack. However, Jack scored enough points on the night to clinch the U19 Grand Prix Individual title. Stockport ran out winners on the night, with Astley & Tyldesley pipping Bury for second place.
