East London v Hethersett
Location: East London Cycle Speedway, London
Event: 11 September 2011

Hethersett Hawks produced another good team performance to win their second consecutive match in the bottom of the table clash at East London.

A 7-3 win by David Adams and Ben Collins in heat one was the best possible start but the home side responded until Collins again engineered a 7-3 with Dave Chambers in heat 5. Just before the interval a home rider fell while leading, gifting the Hawks a 7-3 and a 48-42 interval lead. This was reduced in the next heat but a foul by a home rider in 13 led to an exclusion and a 6-3 win for Hethersett. From that point Hethersett just consolidated their lead to win by seven points. Adams was outstanding with five straight wins but each member of the team made a contribution at a vital stage.

Ipswich v East London
Location: Ipswich Cycle Speedway, Ipswich
Event: 10 September 2011

Ipswich entertained their Essex neighbours East London last night under the lights at Whitton for this rearranged South East fixture and with a sizeable crowd behind them set about their task in a professional manner.

The second half proved to be one way traffic with the home club turning the heat up to go on and record six heats wins from the remaining nine heats finally running out winners by twenty eight points, pick of the Ipswich team was Leon Mower looking fresh from his summer break and produced the pass of the night went sitting third heading into the first bend went over the second placed rider and under the first placed rider all in one movement, the attack was well lead by captain Daniel Pike and Jamie Chittock both scoring seventeen plus bonus points.

All in all a good all-round team performance , this sets it up for their trip to Norwich in two weeks time which could proved to be the title decider.
