Leeds City Council and Sustrans have recently launched the latest additions to the Leeds Core Cycle Network (LCCN) with 17 routes totalling 71 miles across the Yorkshire city.

New additions include the Alwoodley route connecting Alwoodley, Meanwood, Stainbeck and Little London with Leeds city centre, integrating with links to three Leeds schools, Cardinal Heenan, Allerton High and Carr Manor.

The newly unveiled West Park route provides a cycle friendly corridor linking the popular student areas of Hyde Park and Headingley. Work has also been completed on the Middleton/City Centre route and the Wyke Beck Way routes. Also in the pipeline of the next two years are two routes linking both Armley and Garforth with Leeds city centre.
