British Cycling employees joined Olympic champions in support of Britian’s first , arriving at the National Cycling Centre this morning.

 WHY WE COMMUTE BY BIKE

Before tucking feet under a desk, riding the boards, or hurtling down the eight metre start hill of the BMX centre, professional athletes and office workers enjoyed a free morning snack in a unique environment, following a ride that for some is a job, others a new experience, but for most an escape, an essential part of the day.

After hosting the 2002 Commonwealth Games, the National Cycling Centre and British Cycling have changed beyond recognition. In 2011, the refurbishment of the Centre saw the addition of an indoor Olympic BMX track, mountain bike trails and expanded offices for the National Governing Body.

British Cycling are campaigning on behalf of over 80,000 members to improve the environment for all cyclists, including commuters, on the roads of Britain. Join today to support our vision for cycling and and get a range of useful benefits including third-party liability insurance, kit discounts and tips from British Cycling experts.
