To help support the progressive development of cycling activities for women in the West Midlands region, Lichfield City Cycling Club will be running a women only coaching session on the closed road circuit at Curborough near Lichfield on Saturday 21 April 2012.

The session will be run by British Cycling Qualified coaches and will focus on core riding skills including group riding and cornering but will also cover starts, sprinting, race scenarios and tactics.

West Midlands Regional Events Officer, Keith Evans said: “this is an exciting opportunity for the region and will evidence that there is demand for this sort of activity and provide the catalyst for similar events elsewhere in the region.”

The session is booked on the circuit between 9 am and 1pm and is open to those riders new to the sport and more experienced alike. The coaching will commence at 9.30am. The cost to attend is five pounds and payment is to be made on the day.

The address for the venue is Curborough Sprint Course, Woodend Lane, Hilliards Cross, Lichfield, WS13 8EJ.
