About our club

Hornchurch Cycle Club (HCC) was formed in April 2014

We are a Club that likes to encourage all abilities of road cyclists, as well as some ad-hoc off-road riding.

We run a beginners ride each Saturday at 8am, alongside our regular rides.

In the Spring/Summer/Autumn months, we run a beginner's ride on a Weds evening, taking in a 10-12 mile route at around 12mph. During the lightest parts of the year, this starts at 7pm, when lights fades, the start time is 6:30pm.

All rides start from the Queen's Theatre car park in Billet Lane, Hornchurch, RM11 1QT.

We ask that new riders join a beginners ride to be assessed before taking on more suitable rides, as decided by the Ride Leader team.

We run further rides on Saturday, socials and a groupetto, while on Sunday is the flagship ride. Further training rides and weekday rides occur also, especially in summer.

We take part in sportives and charity events, individually and as a club, as well as going overseas to ride during the year.
