About our club
SSC originally started on Strava by a group of friends thrown together by the enjoyment of cycling, now we are the British Cycling and Road Time Trials club for the Thirsk area .Whatever your ability we will try to support your aims, but you do need to be able to comfortably ride 30 miles
We have organised evening rides ,Tues (time trial) Thurs(Tiered club night), Weekend rides Sat and Sunday (tiered rides) Usually 2 daytime cafe rides each week too.
Our speed varies depending on the group and route but is usually 15ph up to 22mph depending on the group and ride.
We aim to enter a few sportives each year and organise trips abroad ,we have visited the Alpe and Tenerife, most years see members visiting Mallorca. We will attempt to accommodate all riders within these parameters either in smaller groups or the main group ride.
