About our club

Blazing Saddles is a small & informal road cycling club made up of around 15 members, based mainly in Wiltshire & Somerset, but with members residing & indeed riding accross the UK. The club aims to get the majority of the membership together on a monthly basis for club runs, themed & organised by the individual members. But there is a usually a BS ride going on somewhere in the country, at some point over any given weekend.

The riders within the club completely vary in abiltiy, from complete novices to veterans of the Etape, from flat terrain lovers to the LEJOGLE World Record Holder, from athletes to leisure cyclists! Ability & experience is no barrier to membership, all you need is a road bike, a sense of humour and be willing to put it in, in the saddle & support your fellow riders whatever their ability! Banter & beer are perhaps as important as your bike & bidon, when you ride in a Blazing Saddles peleton!

The club has gone from strength to strength since its early beginnings in 2009 & both the club & its members, have graced both domestic & european sportives, hill climbs & 24 hour rides! As long as its on the road and involves a bike there will probably be someone from BSRCC up for it.

Membership is not in anyway exclusive or indeed limited, your normally in if you know a current a member, come on a ride or two & buy the Director Sportif a pint or a flap jack! More information abouth the club, its history & constitution is contained within this website.
