About our club
Bristol Road Club is a very active and inclusive, medium sized cycling club with a rich racing history. We are well known in Bristol for our distinctive and stylish blue retro kit and for the Saturday morning clubruns that leave BW Cycling, which can attract over 60 riders on good days. Our annual Severn Bridge Road Race is well known throughout the country as a prestigious early season race for many professional teams and in 2017 we are planning to bring it into the Bristol suburbs to increase the spectacle.
Bristol Road Club was founded in 1927 with the intention of forming a road racing club in contrast to a Time Trial club which dominated the UK at that time. Since the 1950s it has been Bristol's premiere road racing club and remains so today.
