About our club
The Rutland CC was formed in 1908 in Sheffield and we were originally called the Rutland Hall Cycling Club as this was where members would meet at the bottom of Rutland Road. The “Hall” was later dropped and we became the Rutland CC.
The Club is affiliated to Cycling Time Trials (CTT) and British Cycling (BC).
Past and present members have included National Champions at various disciplines including 25 and 50 miles, the 12 Hour and the Hill Climb with riders like Dave Dungworth, Joe Leversidge, Stuart Thompson, Ron Coukham and Malcolm Elliott.
In 2021 we co-organised the National Hill climb Championships on Winnats Pass, Derbyshire
