British Cycling has settled a claim for third party property damage on behalf of a Ride member in relation to an incident which occurred in June 2013 when he was involved in a collision with a car.

Our member was riding downhill and lost control of his bike on a corner. As a result his bike skidded sideways and into an oncoming car.

Liability for the accident was admitted by our member. As part of his membership he had the benefit of British Cycling’s third party (public) liability insurance cover and the claim made against him by the car driver for damage to their vehicle has been settled on his behalf in the sum of £330.00 by British Cycling.

Further information regarding legal and insurance benefits currently available to British Cycling members can be found on our website.
