There were mixed fortunes for the Great Britain Cycling Team at the UCI BMX Supercross World Cup in Zolder.

Beth Shriever reached her second world cup semi-final in as many days and was looking strong in the preceding rounds.

An awkward landing out of the gate put Shriever at the back of the pack in her semi-final however and the 18-year-old could not make up the ground she’d lost to get into the top four.

The Whyte brothers both had a better day on the track than their outing in round three, with younger brother Kye reaching the 1/8 finals for the first time.

His older sibling, Tre, also fared better and was unlucky to miss out on a spot in the semi-finals, after being barged off the track in the final straight of his quarter-final, having held fourth place throughout the race.

Paddy Sharrock equalled his performance from the previous round by reaching the quarter finals in the elite men’s competition.

The Senior Academy rider showed great potential through the rounds, using his endurance speed to move through the field in the latter stages of his races.

Kyle Evans had three strong rides in the morning before qualifying from the 1/8 finals in fourth place and looking fatigued, finishing eighth in his quarter-final.

Blaine Ridge Davis went out in the last chance round; a repeat of her performance from round three on Saturday.
