2014 World BMX Challenge Championships

For the 2014 BMX World Challenge Championships, qualification moves from the series standings to the national rankings. National rankings take into account a rider’s best 12 results during a season. To secure ranking points, a rider must have a full British Cycling racing licence.

Based on UCI allowing 16 riders per category, the following qualification targets apply as they stand, unless UCI change any of the categories or change the number of riders each nation can send.

Proposed qualification for the following UCI categories (Subject to UCI confirmation)

5-6 Boys through to 15 Boys 2013 Rankings - Top 12 to qualify

8 Girls through to 15 Girls 2013 Rankings - Top 12 to qualify

25/29 Men, 5-7 Girls, Master 2013 Rankings - Top 10 to qualify

30+ Men 2013 Rankings - Top 8 to qualify

30+ Men 2013 Rankings - Top 2 Veteran also

16 Boys, 17-24 Men, 16 Girls & 17+ Female 2013 Rankings - Top 6 to qualify

16 & U Fem Cr 2013 Rankings - Top 6 in 14 Girls & Top 6 in 15 Girls 20” categories

30+ Female Cruiser 2013 Rankings: Combined top 10 points scorers in 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45+

Al other Cruiser categories 2013 Rankings - Top 10 to qualify

How to secure your place once qualified

To secure your place, a qualified rider must register by 31 January 2014. Any remaining places will be made available in the 2014 season.The 2014 qualification cut off date will be announced once the 2014 British BMX Series dates are known.

We have now worked through all the remaining places available via the 2nd phase of qualification.
