Don’t forget to get started early this year with British Cycling Sportive training plans. These will take you through a 6 month, week by week process, to kick start your 2013 season ready and raring to go.

Last week saw the introduction of the plans, so you will never be too late, but get on board now and we’ll bring you a weekly pointer to keep you on track and keep you up to date.

With the plan; you will have completed a threshold test, plus included the British Cycling warm up routine into your rides! Next week sessions will concentrate on using the information from threshold tests and trying to “ride in the zone” with a high cadence. Once you are riding in the zone and pedalling a little bit faster, you are well on your way in building your aerobic base ready for the sportive season. More coaching information can be found in the British Cycling Sportive Training Plans as part of your member benefit.
